MACEDONIANS IN REVOLT AGAINST RULE OF NAZIS
STOCKHOLM, September 13.—1942
Bulgarian Macedonia is reported to be In complete revolt, a state of siege having been proclaimed in the entire Vljеn district where revolutionary groups are terrorising the population.
Bulgarian officials were killed in several towns. German circles believe the Russians are supplying the rebels with ammunition and fоod from the air. A message from Ankara says that members of the Gestapo have been sent to Bulgaria to deal with the wave of sabotage.
Plovdiv telephone exchange was put out of action'. A German troop train was derailed. Germans are reported to have disbanded several Bulgarian regiments after alleging they harboured officers sympathetic to the Russians.
