Russian Novel about Alexander of Macedon Translated into Macedonian
Makedonika Litera publishing company has translated the "The Secret of Alexander of Macedon" by Russian writer Nelya Gulchuk. It's on of the three novels by this well known Russian author dedicated to Alexander and ancient Macedonia.
Gulchuk writes in detail about Alexander, using the available facts about his life. The world has known him as a great military tactician, conqueror, student of Aristotle and king of Macedonia who wanted to rule with all the nations of the known Earth. But in this novel he is portrayed like a human person, without glorification of his accomplishments. It involves crime, romance, betrayal, beautiful women, virtuous men and strong passions", Makedonika Litera writes in the press release announcing their new publication.
Lence Toseva translated the novel from Russian into Macedonian. Nelya Gulchuk (1941 - 2012) is best known as author of scripts for musical and documentary films and TV series.
